The first camping trip of 2006 took place at Mitchell State Park. We left Thursday 5/25/06 and returned home Sunday 5/28/06. We took along Jerome and Debra (Nathan's parents) Tippy (their dog) and Grandma Hessler (Nathan's grandma).

We were the first to arrive and set up camp. Mom and Grandma arrived later that day. Dad came two days later on Saturday.

We enjoyed our weekend relaxing, eating, and watching Cappi swim.

We also had plenty of wildlife in the area. We watched squirrels, birds, and a few bats at night.

The last night was a terrible thunder storm. It rained for at least four hours with lighting and thunder keeping us awake for most of the night. When the rain let up we stepped outside to find we were surround by a newly formed lake.
