The second camping trip of 2007 took place at Muskegon State Park. It was just us this time, Nathan, Annie and Cappi-Cino. We left on Thursday 6/14/07 and returned on Sunday 6/17/07.
We had a prime site. It was right on the canal in between Lake Muskegon and Lake Michigan.
These pictures are from the inside of our tent. Pretty roomy huh!!!
Cappi found a turtle right outside of our tent. She was very interested but wasn't going to get to close.
Ahhh.... The beautiful view.
This is the path to the canal. We saw a small animal scurry across the path a few times. Cappi kept a close eye on it.
This is the walk-way that spans the distance of the canal.
To the left is Lake Muskegon and to the right is Lake Michigan.
This is some of the wildlife that roams the canal.
The best part of having a canal view is watching the boats. The Lake Express goes from Muskegon to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and comes though the canal every four hours.
We had a fun time tring to pick out which boat we would like to have. It doesn't hurt to dream.
The sub was docked across the canal and also setup for tours. The coast guard was also docked across the canal.
Cappi and her mom posing for the camera.
Nathan and Cappi in total relaxation mode. Is he naked?
