The fifth camping trip of 2007 took place at Straits State Park in St. Ignace . It was a family trip, Nathan, Annie, Cappi-Cino, Jerome and Debra (Nathan's Mom and Dad). We left on Thursday 8/30/07 and returned on Monday 9/3/07.
We had two sites next to each other with lots of shade.
The Mackinaw Bridge was our next door neighbor. Beautiful during the day, even more so at night.
Lots of squirrels for Cappi to bark at and chase.
We went for a car ride to get a close look at these windmills. Then we stopped off in Mackinaw City for a little shopping.
Everyone was enjoying a relaxing afternoon until Pa decided he need to fix the RV. It's always work, work, work on Jerome's watch.
Of course Cappi sniffed out the beach and found interesting rock formations.
At a craft show in St. Ignace we designed our new camping sign.
We booked the Straits for Labor Day weekend so we could do the Mackinaw Bridge walk. It was a great time, but be advised the line for the buses back to St. Ignace was over 5 hours. We called Pa for a ride.
